SEMINAR: Driving Robotic Innovation in Inspection & Maintenance Across Industries

Robotic technology is developing fast, and accelerating the market uptake of robotics critically relates to the ability of society to usefully apply new technologies. The utilization of inspection and maintenance (I&M) robotics now spans across a range of industries, including energy distribution and generation, transportation, water, oil and gas, nuclear, and more. The drivers between different industries vary, however, there are synergies that can help facilitate the market uptake.
SPRINT Robotics, in collaboration with RIMA, presents a half-day seminar on September 8, 2020. This free virtual event will explore the application and potential impact of robotics across different industries.

September 8, 2020
13:30 CEST

The seminar is free of charge, registration is required.

The Speakers
Speakers will be representatives of end user organizations (ie. asset owner/operators) with a good overview of the challenges and solutions in inspection & maintenance robotics. They will focus on outlining the steps their organizations have taken to introduce digital and robotics technologies in inspection & maintenance, challenges they have faced in their sectors touching on topics such as operational practice, availability of services, contracting issues, creating trust and assurance of new solutions and technological challenges.

Who should attend
This seminar is an excellent opportunity for all actors in the value chain to learn about critical success factors for implementing robotic solutions in inspection & maintenance, across different industries.

The Program
The day will start with insights from a keynote speaker, followed by industry presentations from various sectors, such as:
– Transport infrastructure and hubs (rail, road, ports, airports)
– Nuclear
– Energy generation and distribution
– Oil & Gas
– Water industry
Three robotic demonstrations will be showcased.
Nineteen projects from the 1st open call by RIMA, which were selected to be funded, will be briefly introduced and just to summarize and wrap-up the whole program, a panel discussion will be promoted.
